I had been dealing with back pain for several months and assumed it was from overworking my body. Dr. Ritchey encouraged me to get a colonoscopy, which led to the discovery of colorectal cancer. She supported me through the entire process—helping me find both a surgeon and an oncologist. After surgery, I thought the cancer was gone.  However, thanks to ongoing monitoring with Signatera testing, we discovered that cancer cells still remained in my body. Since the cause wasn’t clear, a PET scan was ordered, which revealed the cancer had metastasized to my liver—despite having no symptoms at all.  We’re now working on a treatment plan for the cancer in my liver.
