Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 yellow, orange or red bell pepper, remove seeds and cut into chunks
- 10 baby carrots
- 1 cup spinach
- 3 Romaine lettuce leaves
- 1 cup kale, loosely packed
- 1 sweet variety organic apple (Crispin, Empire, Fuji, Gala, Honey Crisp, Pink Lady)
- 1 cup pineapple chunks or juice (you can also use sweet navel oranges or tangerines)
Recipe Instructions:
Prepare:
- Put apple and pineapple in a blender or food processor and blend for 15-20 seconds until liquid
- Add in bell pepper and carrots and blend another 15-20 seconds
- Add greens and blend until smooth 15-25 seconds
- If mixture it too thick, add cold water or ice cubes to thin
- Notes- You can also add or substitute with raw beets, cucumbers celery, etc. The apple, pineapple, carrots and bell peppers are sweet enough to mask the other veggie flavors. Chilling the drink brings out the sweetness and hides the taste of bitter vegetables.
