Moving your body protects your memory

Physical training improves your body and your brain fitness.  Dancing appears to be the most effective. It combines aerobic movement, motor skills and memory function.  A study of 26 people, aged 68-71, split between dancing and other exercise showed improvement in brain function for both, but additional increase in the dance group.

Grab your partner, a friend, or freestyle on your own and start moving.  If you have balance issues, make sure someone else is around to assist you if needed.  Dance therapy has been used for years to improve mood and decrease depression and anxiety. It’s never too late to get your sway on.
