Look into the mirror. What are you concerns about your complexion? Everyone has their own idea about what they wish to improve in the quality of their skin. This is a list of what I typically have heard over the past twenty years.
Concerns:
- Blackheads
- Large or Clogged Pores
- Acne Marks and Scars
- Age Spots and Hyperpigmentation
- Uneven Skin Tone
- Fine Lines and wrinkles
- Sun Damage
All the above concerns can be addressed by better skincare. If you start with your home care program and work your way up to clinical solution peels, you will have made lovely progress for your so important biggest organ of your body.
Typically, there are three levels of solution peels. Superficial, Moderate and Deep. Whichever concern you may have will determine which peel you will choose.
The Superficial level effects the epidermis. There are five layers of epidermis and the strength of the peel will determine how far down it will go. Your results may vary but the main noticeable advantage is exfoliation of dead skin cells and a brighter youthful appearance. They are also known as “Lunchtime Peels.” No down time.
The Moderate level will be able to penetrate the dermis and stimulate collagen and elastin. You will also have a faster skin turnover, unclog pores and have a little bit of down time. You could ask to do these peels every time the seasons change. A great way to maintain and improve your appearance.
The Deep or advanced Peels are the strongest and require a Physician or Physician’s assistant to administer. Your down time is a week to ten days. These peels give a dramatic result and you may not have to do another one. Or years in-between treatments.
Results after peel(s)
- Smoothness
- Radiance or Skin Glow
- Clearer Skin
- Tightness and Firmer Skin
- Lifted Appearance
- Balanced Tone or One Color
- Softness and Suppleness
Whatever peel you choose you are taking the steps to keep your skin looking and feeling the best it can be. Treat yourself and go ahead…peel away!
